While in London, I had the privilege of seeing the above listed play, based on the wonderful book written in the early 2000s. The story is about a young man, aged 15 and who is diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome who finds a neighbor’s dog dead in the garden. His goal is to find the dog’s murderer. He is relentless, despite numerous hurdles and challenges which stem from both the symptoms of his diagnosis and his family diagnosis.
I saw the play on opening night-the first night of previews, generally not the best production for any show. Although it was a bit long-winded, the show received four standing ovations. The acting, the staging and the story held the audience’s attention. The young man who played the lead was fantastic.
Recommendation: Read the book and See the show!
